Team Continues to Grow and Meet the Needs of Customers
August 7, 2025 – Lakewood, CO — The Encore Electric medium voltage team has been consistently rising to the occasion by meeting the needs of customers, despite being newly formed in 2023. By having a medium voltage team, Encore Electric can self-perform a larger scope of electrical work, continuing to provide All Things Power, Technology, and Energy®. In the last two years, the team has provided support to large projects in Wyoming and Colorado, including data centers and a complex research facility.
There can be several different Encore Electric teams on the same project: Technology Solutions who specialize in low-voltage services, Division 26 that completes voltage work ranging from 480-600 volts, service technicians, and a special projects team providing unique services like fire alarm installation. Now, the medium voltage team can be found onsite, and they specialize in voltage ranging from 600-35,000 volts. By providing this range of voltage and services, Encore Electric can meet the unique requests of customers.
“The medium voltage team started out of a need that our customers wanted more of,” said JR Bond, Encore Electric vice president of business units. “The end goal is to develop the team big enough where we’re self-performing all the work for Encore Electric.”
Currently, the team is made up of five teammates: Operations Manager Jason Meredith, Foreman Matthew Wolfe, Journeyman Tristan Gonzales, RTT Apprentice Clyde Creel, and RTT Apprentice Alex Martin. Each member of the medium voltage team plays a vital role in the team’s overall success. Superintendent Cory Voeller has also been a key part in helping to get the medium voltage team started along with support from the Wyoming data center teams.
“All of these guys have been with it since day one, so they’re excited to be part of it from the ground up and be the first people in it,” Meredith said. “They are very good at working safely, paying attention to what they are doing, and making sure everything is installed correctly.”
The medium voltage teammates adapt not only to the needs of the customers, but also the needs of Encore Electric. Being on the team requires each teammate to be versatile and well-rounded, so teammates can shift from medium voltage work to Construction.

“In the downtimes of medium voltage work, that team can run pipe and be part of the Division 26 crew. And then when we need them, we can pull them back to work on the medium voltage scope,” Bond said.
To join the medium voltage team, the same electrical apprenticeship training is required, as well as other certifications and trainings that help keep teammates safe.
“Jason and the MV team have done a great job supporting the safety culture at the project level and ensuring our team, as well as the subcontractors, are aligning with the safety requirements on the data center campuses,” Bond said.
Meredith is still building the medium voltage team and is looking for candidates who align with the core values of Encore Electric. Interested in joining the medium voltage team? Contact the Encore Electric recruiting team at Recruiting@EncoreElectric.com.
