Small Business Outreach

Encore Electric is committed to identifying and utilizing reputable minority, veteran and women-owned business enterprises for our projects and our purchasing.  Encore continually makes efforts to promote and increase the participation of these businesses.  Encore believes that there are a number of benefits to doing business with minority, veteran and women-owned business enterprises such as helping those companies achieve success and promoting competition and diversity within our industry.

At Encore Electric, we are committed to partnering with a variety of small business types including: small, disadvantaged, historically underused business zone enterprises, service disabled veteran-owned, veteran- owned, women- owned, and minority-owned.  We work throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana and have a consistent need for the following types of subcontractors and suppliers:

  • Trench, backfill, restoration earthwork
  • Directional boring
  • Electrical engineering
  • Hauling, rigging and hoisting services
  • Medium voltage wiring and terminations
  • Low and/or medium voltage work, such as audio visual, telecommunications, or access control
  • Electrical testing services
  • Lightning protection

Encore strives to establish new small business partnerships and utilizes the System for Award Management (SAM) and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS) databases to identify potential subcontractors and suppliers.

Small business subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to register with these systems and to ensure that their profiles are continuously updated with detailed information.  Solicitations may be sent directly to those businesses we identify through these databases as meeting our subcontracting or supply needs.

Small business subcontractors and suppliers interested in working with Encore may contact Christine Romero, Chief of Staff, at 303-934-1234 or at Christine.Romero@EncoreElectric.com.
