Program Celebrates Contractors Across the Country for Excellence in Construction
April 30, 2026 – Lakewood, CO — In late March, Encore Electric was awarded the AGC National Build America Award for Best Specialty Contractor Project for work on the AdventHealth Littleton Heart and Vascular Tower and CUP Expansion Project. Awards were announced at the AGC’s Annual Convention in Orlando. Members of the Encore Electric project team who worked on the expansion and other members of the Encore Electric leadership team attended the convention to receive the award.
Encore Electric partnered with Saunders Construction to power the expansion of AdventHealth Littleton Heart and Vascular Tower and CUP, bringing new lab spaces, procedure rooms, the potential for 10 new operating rooms, a 24-bed ICU for cardiac care, and support spaces, all allowing for current and future expansion of the hospital’s cardiovascular department. Beyond the new medical spaces in the expansion, the project also included a new generator and control system that parallel the new generator with the generators in the existing building, expanding and upgrading the entire hospital’s electrical infrastructure.
“With AdventHealth Littleton being a long-time client for Encore Electric and with the complexity that came with the expansion, it was an honor for me and my team members to be able to receive an award on a national level for this project,” said Project Manager Kevin Kosters. “To be able to be the only specialty contractor to be recognized at the event speaks volumes about what we do at Encore Electric.”
“The power we bring into these hospitals ensures life-saving equipment is ready when it’s needed most. Our field crew knew the stakes were high and stayed on their ‘A’ game day in and day out, helping bring life-saving cardiac care to the south side. Their skill and dedication make Encore Electric strong, and it’s a privilege to work beside them,” said Jessica Linder, assistant project manager.
The AdventHealth Littleton Heart and Vascular Tower and central utility plant (CUP) expansion project brought renewed cardiovascular care resources to Colorado’s Southwest Denver Area. As the population has grown and aged in these cities, AdventHealth Littleton stepped up to meet the changing needs for healthcare in the area.
The expansion opened its doors to new patients in July 2025.
