Kevin Widmer is a Superintendent at Encore Electric who has been with the team for 15 years. He started off green as a 1st year apprentice, worked his way up to foreman and then stepped into his current role. As a Superintendent safety is his main day-to-day concern. “I come to work every day to work and train and teach the guys, but my main goal is to get them to go home safe everyday to see their family and friends,” Widmer said.
And while Widmer enjoys being a boss, it’s not for the title, it’s for the opportunities he gets to mentor the craftspeople in the field. “I was taught by learning hands-on,” he said. “So I try to help by teaching these guys and standing beside them.”
