Encore Electric Recognized at 2024 Award Ceremonies

December 16, 2024 – Lakewood, CO — During 2024, Encore Electric completed a number of groundbreaking projects that are set to shape the future, including advanced simulators designed to train aspiring pilots and a laboratory built with sustainability at its core. Thanks to the dedication of Encore Electric teams, these projects won awards that are based on merit and overcoming challenges. In addition to the award-winning projects, two Encore Electric team members were also recognized for advancing the construction industry.

United Flight Training Center
United Airlines trains thousands of pilots each year and recently set an ambitious goal to recruit and train 10,000 pilots by 2030. To achieve this goal, a new 150,000 square feet of training space was added to the United Airlines Flight Training Center Campus in Denver. Encore Electric provided design-assist, power, lightning protection, fire alarm system, construction management services, and the installation of 12 flight simulators for this state-of-the-art facility.

“Knowing the pilots come to this facility from all over the world to use these SIMs is a really big deal and it is something our team ought to be proud of,” said Ken Pease, Encore Electric service technician.

Pikes Peak State College Delta Dental Oral Health Career Center
Pikes Peak State College, Delta Dental, and Encore Electric construction team and technology solutions collaborated to create the Delta Dental Oral Health Career Center. The health career center has an advanced dental simulation lab that will provide students with hands-on training opportunities as they begin their dental careers.

During construction, the Encore Electric teams addressed all electrical, power, lighting, lighting control, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, and coordinated power and connections to owner-furnished medical equipment.

“I’m proud of the work the entire Encore Electric team did on this project,” said Ben Bohl, Encore Electric technology solutions project manager. “Every single person played a crucial role in this project. From the dedicated prefabrication team, who supplied spooled fiber that met PPCS color standards and streamlined our material delivery, to our talented team that ensured high standards were not just met but exceeded.”

Intermountain Health Lutheran Replacement Hospital Lutheran (SCL West)
To complete the massive 685,000 square foot hospital, technology solutions, construction, and service and special projects partnered to bring the newest healthcare technology to the growing community.

SCL West now has 247 patient beds, 10 operating rooms, and expanded access to emergency and critical care. This project was especially challenging because construction began in May 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, supply chains were experiencing unprecedented shortages, delays, and price increases. To stay ahead of delays, Encore Electric worked closely with all project partners.

“The level of collaboration on this project between our own teammates, subcontractors, the general contractor, and the owner was something I’ve never seen before. That translated to our successful outcome at the end,” said Jason Becker, Encore Electric project manager.
