Apprentices in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana Finish Electrical Apprenticeship
July 9, 2026 – CO, WY, MT— Encore Electric is proud to celebrate a record number of teammates who graduated from their electrical apprenticeship program in 2026. In total, 89 teammates from across the organization took their careers in their own hands to achieve this milestone, all while balancing classes, studying, and working full time.
The Encore Electric paid four-year apprenticeship program offers classes from basic safety, tools, blueprints, and math to advanced classes in wiring, troubleshooting, and leadership. The next step for these apprentices is to pass their journeyman exam and become licensed electricians!
“This is my second year attending graduations and it’s always so heartwarming to see all of our graduates’ families cheering them on as they achieve another milestone in their careers. This year, we celebrated our largest graduating class yet with 89 apprentices completing four years of school,” said Apprenticeship Coordinator Aida Valenzuela. “Congratulations to each and every graduate on this incredible achievement – your hard work and dedication have truly paid off!”
“Southern Colorado had 13 IEC graduates this year and seeing them graduate and celebrate with their families and friends is truly one of the highlights of the year for me,” said Andy Sizemore, Encore Electric director of the Southern Colorado business unit. “Four years of school is a huge commitment by itself but doing that while also building and servicing some of the most challenging projects and facilities in the state makes their accomplishment even more impressive! I am very proud of all of them and am excited to see what the future holds for our team as they each take that next step in their careers.”
Among this year’s graduating class, Encore Electric Apprentice Eliza DeHerrera was honored with the Women in Power Award from Milwaukee Tool in recognition of her academic excellence, strong commitment to safety, dedication to continuous learning, and support of fellow female apprentices. In addition, Encore Electric apprentices Nick Royston, Esteban Sanchez, and Harrison Steele were named 2026 Top Students by the Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM).
Congratulations to all the Encore Electric teammates who graduated this year!
