Veteran marketing and communications professional aims to amplify company’s awareness

Lakewood, CO, May 4 – Encore Electric, Inc. ( announced today that Meg VanderLaan has joined its executive leadership team in the newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). VanderLaan will set the marketing strategy and provide innovative leadership for all aspects of marketing and communications for the company. VanderLaan has directed marketing and communications programs for leading companies in the engineering, construction and manufacturing industries, helping transform brands and express stories in multiple cultures, languages and countries. Most recently, VanderLaan provided marketing and communications consulting services for Colorado companies following her Chief Communications Officer role with MWH Global (now part of Stantec).

An active member in the community, VanderLaan has served a number of organizations as a member of the board of directors. Currently she is a member of the board of directors for Downtown Denver Partnership’s Denver Civic Ventures and a member of the board of trustees for her alma mater, Gannon University, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
