June 15, 2017 Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Glenwood Springs, CO—Graduating classes of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Rocky Mountain, Glenwood Springs and Southern Colorado chapters included several Encore Electric employees, and in the Colorado Springs class, Encore Electric Training Manager Dale Weis, a fourth-year instructor at the IEC Southern, was a featured speaker.

David Scott, director of Human Resources for Encore Electric and member of the board for IEC Rocky Mountain said, “It is really exciting to be a part of this celebration.  We know how hard our employees work to achieve this goal which is a critical element of building an electrical craftsman career at Encore Electric.”

“The Independent Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship program is among the best training programs available for the electrical trade,” said Weis.  “Combining on-the-job training and related classroom instruction, IEC graduates earn a complete, four-year, Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship certificate.”

More than 400 apprentices began this rigorous program four years ago. Of the 133 graduates, 29 were Encore electricians, making up the largest overall percentage of IEC graduates this year in Colorado.

Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates, their teams and supervisors who supported in this journey.
