Project Teams Awarded for Quality Work and Dedication on Major Projects Throughout Colorado

November 3, 2023 – Lakewood, CO — Last month, Encore Electric teammates and projects received a number of awards on both local and national levels. Awards from these industry partners recognized Encore Electric for quality work and partnership on complex projects throughout Colorado.

Encore Electric Service and Special Projects project manager Lane Morgese earned a Mortenson STAR award from general contractor Mortenson Construction. Each year, Mortenson recognizes their trade partners at the STAR Awards as an opportunity to celebrate their outstanding partnership and commitment to their shared projects. Morgese was selected for the Project Manager STAR Award for his role on the Empower Field at Mile High scoreboard and team store enhancement project. Working on the high-profile venue was a challenging project that allowed Morgese and his team’s strengths to shine.

“This project really showcased what a talented group we have at Encore,” said Morgese. “Everyone involved, from the preconstruction team to the field, really brought their ‘A-game’ to make sure every aspect of this project went well.  I am extremely proud to have been a part of it, and it means a lot to be recognized for all our hard work.”

Meanwhile, the Encore Electric Technology Solutions team earned the National Independent Electrical Contractors Award of Excellence in Electrical Construction for their work on the Colorado State University Moby Arena Locker Room revitalization project in the low voltage/limited energy systems category.

Athletes rely on the locker room to be a space where they can get energized before competing and become rested and revitalized post-competition. Encore Electric Technology Solutions partnered with the design and construction teams who built this project to provide technology and low-voltage features to the space, including audiovisual engineering, audiovisual integration and installation featuring high-definition digital displays, lighting, sound, and user control panels.

Encore Electric earned two additional project awards at the Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Excellence in Construction Awards. Encore Electric received the Eagle award for UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion 3 in the Specialty Contractor – Electrical: Commercial more than $10M category and Chasing Rabbits received the Pyramid award in the Specialty Contractor – Electrical: Commercial $2M to $10M category.

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion 3 is a major expansion to the medical campus, expanding the health care services and specialized treatments available to the surrounding community. Despite the challenges that came with working on a live hospital campus, the Encore Electric construction and Technology Solutions professionals successfully collaborated to ensure every electrical and technology need was met on the project.

In the Colorado mountains, Encore Electric electricians and Technology Solutions professionals joined forces to build Chasing Rabbits, the ultimate entertainment venue in the center of Vail Village. Encore Electric designed and built the electrical, network, and A/V infrastructure needed to power the dreamt vision for each room in the building while leaving all evidence of electrical and technical infrastructure undetectable in the eyes of the guests looking to escape down the rabbit hole for a night.
