Team has Supported Causes Throughout Communities Where We Live and Work

June 25, 2018 – Lakewood, CO — We support many organizations and are focusing our direct contributions to organizations that assist women and children’s initiatives, veterans organizations and the out-of-doors, including Homes For Our Troops and CityYear Denver.

With our general contractor partners and owner customers, we have supported many organizations with monetary donations, including , the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Tom McMahon Construction Scholarship fund, Rob Millisor Heart Walk, Vail Firefighters Association, the Union Colony Children’s Music Academy, Chanda Plan, University of Colorado Construction Management, Boys and Girls Clubs, Montana State Fair Junior Rodeo, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Kids First Healthcare and the YMCA of Pikes Peak Region.

From now until the end of July through other General Contractor partners and owner customers, Encore Electric will also support the Mount St. Vincent Home, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Save our Youth, UC Health Children’s Burn Unit, Colorado Springs Conservatory and county fairs and rodeos for Eagle County, Garfield County and El Paso County.  Other support will be provided to the Donor Alliance, the Shaw Regional Cancer Center and the Hope House.

Here is a closer look at two different organizations that Encore Electric supported recently.

Encore Electric is proud to support CityYear Denver, an initiative that partners with school districts around the country, including Denver Public Schools, to place trained AmeriCorps members full-time in classrooms. They provide support, tutoring and more to the schools where they are stationed, with the primary goal of helping students graduate from high school. CityYear Denver was recently mentioned by Governor John Hickenlooper as one of three service organizations that are making a difference for Colorado.

“As a graduate of a Denver Public high school, It is heartening to see the difference these CityYear Denver AmeriCorps members are making in the lives of students who need a little support,” said Kevin Villegas, digital marketing manager. “Encore Electric is a proud supporter of getting kids to graduation, and this organization aligns perfectly with our core values and who we are.”

Team members from Encore were also present at the 5th Annual Haselden Trap Shoot on June 8, benefitting Homes For Our Troops, an organization that builds and donates specifically designed homes for disabled veterans.

“The Haselden Sporting Clay Shoot is a great way for Encore – as part of our community – to repay the debt owed to our disabled veterans. Additionally, this event provides an amazing opportunity to personally meet with many individual veterans to hear their personal stories, and specifically to hear how these customized homes have impacted each of their lives in a tremendously positive way.  It makes me proud to be part of these organizations and our contribution!” said George Moore, preconstruction manager.
