Also Honored Were Safety and Wire-Off Competitors

August 31, 2020 – Lakewood, CO — Encore Electric teams from all over Colorado were honored with wins from the Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) 2020 Summit Awards, during a virtual event held on August 13.

The night started off great for the team, as Encore Electric was awarded the Safety Excellence Award for the second year in a row. The award is presented to the IECRM contractor who makes great strides in their program and exhibits a “safety first” mentality in their work. This award belongs to every single person at Encore Electric who makes safety their number one priority.

After that, Gabe Green, an apprentice at Encore Electric, was recognized as one of the Top 5 Fourth-Year Apprentices and Wire-Off Competitors. The competition was grueling this year, as it is every year, but this year had an added wrinkle because of the strangeness of competing during the time of COVID-19. The winners are announced every year at the 2020 IECRM Summit Awards.

Speaking of COVID, members of the Encore Electric team, including some spouses, were recognized as COVID Champions. These are people who have gone above and beyond in making sure that craftspeople and the community stay safe during these challenging times. Included in the recognition were the electricians of Encore Electric, Kim Palmgren and Deb Willet, Stan McClintock and Luke Stanton, Heather Ruddy and Caroline Riepler.

Finally, three of our projects and one of our own internal projects were awarded with Summit Awards.
