Lighting and Outlets Installed at a Local Nonprofit in Fort Collins
September 24, 2025 – Fort Collins, CO — Encore Electric recently completed a community service project for the Rhythm of the Horse, a Fort Collins nonprofit that provides holistic therapy programs for individuals and families navigating physical, emotional, and developmental challenges. The Encore Electric team upgraded the electrical system including installing permanent outlets at every water tank and installing strategic lighting around the horse stalls. Before this upgrade, it was difficult to feed and care for the horses at night because there wasn’t adequate lighting or power.
“This upgrade means a safer, brighter, and more efficient space for our horses, volunteers, and riders – and we couldn’t be more grateful!” said Rhythm of the Horse in a social media post.
“I truly enjoyed the project at Rhythm of the Horse. Justine, the program owner and CEO has been more than impressed and grateful for what we have done for her,” said Malone Snyder, the Encore Electric service technician who completed the work. “Rhythm of the Horse has an amazing therapeutic equine program where she helps develop individuals with disabilities of all kinds through teaching and riding horses. It’s projects like this that truly bring home the Encore Electric values that we in the Northern Business Unit hold to our core.”

The Encore Electric team who helped update the electrical system at Rhythm of the Horse in addition to Snyder included Operations Manager Chris Anderson, Project Manager Chad Spurlin, Service Technician Richie Urban, Apprentice David Visocky, and Apprentice Steve Campanelli. Some teammates who worked on the project, including Snyder, live close to the Rhythm of the Horse. The team’s proximity to this nonprofit makes this project even more impactful because their neighbors and direct community will be impacted by the work done.
In addition to the hard work of the Encore Electric team, this project was a success because of the donations from trade partners like CED and Rexel.
“Hensel Phelps brought us this project and through the awesome people and donations from CED, Rexel, and Sunstate equipment, we were able to install 300 feet of underground to give her power for her water through heaters and lights for her and her volunteer staff,” Snyder said.
Thank you to the Encore Electric teammates who contributed to this project, the trade partners who donated supplies, and Hensel Phelps for initiating this collaboration!
