Apprentices Hit Milestone in Educational and Electrical Careers
June 16, 2025 – Lakewood, CO — Encore Electric is excited to announce and congratulate 62 Encore Electric apprentices who graduated from their electrical apprenticeship programs this year. Graduates completed electrical programs at seven different schools in four different states including Independent Electrical Contactors Rocky Mountain, Southern Colorado, Western Colorado, and Montana. The four-year apprenticeship curriculum at Encore Electric includes a range of classes from safety and mathematics to wiring, troubleshooting, and learning the National Electrical Code (NEC). Through dedication and hard work, each apprentice has taken their electrical career in their own hands and has built a strong foundation for a successful future in the trades.
“Being an electrician takes determination, hard work, and sacrifice. Graduating and successfully completing your apprenticeship shows the dedication you have to your craft and to Encore Electric. We are so proud of our class of 2025 graduates and excited to see the great opportunities ahead for these wonderful men and women,” said Scott Nelson, director of project resources at Encore Electric.
For these recent graduates, the next step after completing the apprenticeship program is taking the journeyman’s licensing exam, which brings new opportunities, greater responsibilities, and growth in the electrical industry.
“Congratulations from a fellow graduate of IEC, what a tremendous accomplishment. We appreciate all of your dedication and hard work, all of us at Encore Electric are very proud of you,” said Freehley Buster, Encore Electric manpower manager.
“It’s been inspiring to see all of our apprentices’ hard work and commitment throughout the last four years pay off. I’m especially excited to see them get their Journeyman license and all they will continue to accomplish here at Encore Electric!” said Aida Valenzuela, Encore Electric apprenticeship coordinator.
Congratulations, Encore Electric graduates for successfully completing the electrical apprenticeship program!
