Encore Electric has experienced a road rage incident to one of our team members. The team member was traveling in a turn lane when they encountered an 18-wheeler trying to merge into the lane. Instead of letting the 18-wheeler merge, our team member proceeded to pull forward essentially starting a game of chicken with the other driver. The two parties involved began to get agitated and words were exchanged. Our team member drove off to alleviate the situation but at the next stop light the other driver got out of his vehicle and proceeded to punch our driver’s side mirror causing damage. Our team member drove away and proceeded to call 911.
This incident could have been avoided if our team member had let the other driver into the turning lane. One of our core values at Encore Electric is Principle. We do the right thing because we put others and safety first. You never know what kind of day someone is having, please always drive with caution and courtesy towards others.
