Assured Grounding and Basic Electrical Safety
The month of October is in full swing, which means our assured grounding program is due. Assured Grounding and Basic Electrical Safety is vital to keeping you and all employees on the project safe and to prevent electrical accidents. This is of key importance to our company, as we all know it doesn’t take much electricity to seriously injure, burn, or kill someone. Equally important is for each employee to understand that they should never assume something is de-energized and to test every circuit, every time!!!
All cords in October, November, and December should be marked ORANGE, which identifies that all testing has been completed and documented. What this means is that all cords are tested to ground, not just taped.
Remember all testing should be complete by the 1st of each quarter and documentation should be available on the jobsite.
